The sun is shining hot, but the water lily is hidden in a bay, on the water of which its white flower Nymphaea alba sways. Its radiant flower is directly imbued with vitality, and large green leaves spread freely along the shore along the smooth surface of a small pond in front of my dwelling - a Finnish log house, forming a dense carpet. The roots are tightly submerged to the bottom of the lake, and the water lily itself glows with purity and unshakable constancy - it has been pleasing us for decades.
