Grasses start to slow down their pace in the wind when the first frost takes over and a bright autumn night colours them in white rime. Icy ground crackles under my shoes when I head to the forest. I look back and admire the enlightened scenery. Even our cottage looks like a candy house, topped with a good layer of powdered sugar. Only a couple of months to Christmas and a new holiday at the cottage!
